I know there are family and friends out there that are aware of the fact that when Aunt Isabel and I get together we play crib. We don’t just play crib we play for the Championship of the World. I think for the first time since our championship tournaments began. I am the Champion. Now if I was smart I would quit while I am ahead. I am notso sure how smart this is but we are heading into a rematch.
I think Aunt Isabel my have had a premonition about how things were going to go. Prior to the game she even had tears in her eyes. I am pretty sure it was because she knew she was heading for defeat and had nothing at all to do with the onions she was chopping at the time.
Wow this has been quite a week! First the NHL returns to Winnipeg, and now Bill Howdle is the crib Champion of the World. Congats Bill. Sounds like you always have a great time when your Aunt visits.
Hi Betty, you are so right always a great time when she comes to town.
It’s a pain when nephews have x-ray vision! 😀
Hey, what can I as the nephew say.
For some reason i just think my dad might have cheated hmmmmm there is no way he could win ha ha ha love you!!!
Hi Shauna, Auntie keeps too close an eye on me, she doesn’t miss a thing.
Love you
Dad
Hi there, cousin Bill,
Finally, your dear old cuzin maggie may have figured out this blog thing??! Anyhow, just a quick comment to let the world know, I had the pleasure of visiting with Billy boy and Aunt Isobel this afternoon and I would like the world to know that I have taken the title of World Champion Crib Player, since I beat Bill and SKUNKED Aunt Isobel in crib today!!! Yes, miracles do happen, Aunt Isobel does not get beaten very often and it is even more rare for her to get skunked. I’m sure I won’t hold the title very long, as Aunt Isobel will reclaim it soon, I’m sure. Love you all; it was a fun afternoon. Maggie.
Hi Maggie it was so nice having you over. We all had such a good time.
Skunked?! SKUNKED?!
As in pegged out before she made it to that little picture of the skunky guy?!
k…. *laughing*
It was a short title for Bill..and a catastrophic moment for Aunt Isabel.
And I think I’ll have to take my coffee laying down now….LOLOLOLOL
Oh, Maggie–you’re priceless!
Congratulations to the NEW World Champion.
Skunked, eh?
Skunked.
Yep.
Definitely coffee–laying down. LOL
Hi Mel. What can I say but geesh!!!! lol
Humility is a good thing, sir.
NOT always comfy…but a good thing.
‘Zactly how many quarters were lost again? LOLOL
I’m sure hoping you had a good stash saved for the whoopin’!
Hey Mel. I was smart enough not to play all games for a quarter or I may have had to take out a mortage on the house. lol. I agree humility is a good thing. Playing with Aunt Isabel is very humbling, Thank goodness neither of us take any of it seriously. I do though fell humbled in her presence, she is one awesome and inspiring lady. A gentleman will never reveal a Ladies age but I will say the first number in her age is an 8 and let it go at that. It seems no matter what life throws at her she just keeps on trucking without loosing that smile of hers. She is sharp as a tack. I always do the daily cross word puzzle in the newspaper. I had reached the point where I was stuck. I had to run out for a few minutes when I got back she had finished it. Geesh, what can I say but “my brain is shrinking” lol
