Dying Man’s Daily Journal – Thank you’s

Have to say thank you to Muriel of the Heart Failure Clinic follow up team. They phone me on a monthly basis just as a general follow up monitoring how I am doing.

My regular phone check up actualy was yesterday. We chatted and I told her of how I was feeling, not very spry. She was concerned and called back this morning as a follow up to the follow up. Muriel urged me to go to the hospital to get check out. I have to say I was less than enthusicastic about this but realize the medical professionals do know more than I do. (inspite of what I seem to think some time).

I also thank the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital emergency department for the wonderful care. Tests ect. were done and I have pneumonia, huh. Well I guess that does explain much of how I have been feeling.

Hi Lilian (that was my much loved mother’s first name). I am glad I took her advice also. I do admit it was reluctantly that I went but am glad I did.
Thank you for the kisses from both of you. Now with a “threat” like that you know I will be taking care.
All the very best to you and yours in the New Year.

Meanwhile, this appeared as a post from one of my friends in a group I belong to, so I thought I’d share:

In the New Year may you:

    Celebrate life.
    Breathe deeply.
    Love fully.
    Live openly.
    Embark on adventure.
    Embrace challenge.
    Partake of life’s pleasures.
    Find truth.
    Seek peace.
    Share love.
    Sparkle with enthusiasm.
    Treasure quiet moments.
    Share a kindness.
    Kindle a friendship.
    Glory in being.
    Create beautiful things.
    Be generous with praise.
    Compliment yourself.
    Collect memories.
    Pursue dreams.
    Behold simple beauty.
    Love each day.
    Live each moment.

Thank you, Muriel. And thank you, sir, for showing up at her suggestion!

Here’s to all that PC wished for us!!

    Happy New Year, sir.

    (get better!!)

Hey there Mel. I am just thinking maybe this shows us two things. The Good Lord brings the right people into our lives at the right time. (Muriel and the timing of her phone call). It also shows us men are helpless and useless with out having a woman telling us what to do. lol
    Happy New Year my friend.
    Bill

Wishing you quick healing. My two year old nephew just finished meds for pneumonia the day my 14 year old nephew went home from the hospital. Seems all this coming together at the holidays lets some extra germs through…take care.
