Bill, I have a prayer request for you and your blog friends. A co-worker of mine, Gabriella, was diagnosed with breast cancer about a month ago and had a double mastectomy this past Wednesday. Unfortunately, during the surgery, the doctors discovered that the cancer has spread to her lymph nodes. She will be starting chemo and radiation soon. She is just 34 years old and has two beautiful young children. Please keep her and her family in your prayers. She is a fighter and is maintaining a very upbeat, positive attitude, but I am sure prayers and good thoughts would be appreciated.

    Dear Bill, Cat, and Gabriella,
I’ll get to that prayer request right away!! Calling all angels, calling all angels. All hands on deck! Hoping and praying that Gabriella puts up the good fight. Sure puts my own silly little problems in perspective and makes me understand what Thanksgiving is supposed to be all about.
    Enjoy the day, Wiseman.

Irene, I thank you so much

Thanks to Bill for posting this, and thanks to everyone for the prayers and good thoughts! I will pass them on to Gabriella and will keep you posted on how she does with the chemo and radiation. I hope in a few months I’ll be able to tell you that she is cancer-free!

Hi Cat, please extend my very best wishes to Gabriella. Please let her know she is in the thoughts, the heart and prayers of many. I look forward to your updates.

Count my prayers in too, although a few days later than this post was posted, all can help.

Sending healing thouhgts and many angels Gabriella’s way.

(((((Cat))))) what a wonderful friend you are.

  5. Cat says:

    Thank you, Bill and Jo!

As of Monday, she was up and walking again after five days of post-surgical bed rest, and she was thrilled to have taken a shower and to have been able to eat dinner at the table with her family! She is still in considerable pain from the surgery, but seems to be in good spirits all things considered.
