Dying Man’s Daily Journal – Meeting a Friend

Really not feeling to spry today and post will be short. I had to share how much both Vi and I enjoyed the visit of a new friend.

Friday night we were both blessed and privileged to welcome to our home with a fellow blogger. “Someone in Alberta” had left comments at different times and we have in fact exchanged emails on a variety of occasions.

On Friday, “Someone from Alberta”, Stephanie was passing through Winnipeg returning to Calgary after a family Christmas. We had the opportunity to meet and she honored us by accepting our invitation to spend the night. We had a wonderful visit, we both enjoyed her company tremendously. Stephanie, it was a pleasure and an honor to meet you, thank you for “spending” some of your precious time here on this earth with us.

What a beautiful woman……and what a beautiful opportunity she seized. I’m glad for the three of you to have seized the moment.

    Feel better, Bill.
And stay AWAY from shovels, eh?

Hi Mel, I am glad we seized the opportunity. I really was a very nice visit.
Happy New Year to you and yours.

No problem of course! I was truly blessed myself to of had the opportunity to sit and talk with you and your amazing wife! (Vi, you ARE an incredible woman!) I laughed a lot over some of your “theories” and the heart to hearts were very encouraging. For those of you who have not yet had the chance to meet Bill and Vi, know that they are as delightful in person as in cyberspace!

Blessing Bill and a big ol’ hug!

Hi Stephanie, It really was a delight having you in our home. I really enjoyed our chats and time together. As to your comment about Vi and how she is incredible, I agree with you totally. We both hope we get the opportunity to meet with you again at some time. You are a beautiful, charming and intelligent young lady, remember our chat about the apples.
Blessings to you and may you have a wonderful 2008.
    Bill

‘Someone in Alberta’ just happens to be my daughter and though I shouldn’t have been surprised after reading your journal for awhile, yours and Vi’s hospitality was an unexpected pleasure. I know she was very much looking forward to meeting you and I am looking forward to hearing about the visit. : ) And yes, she is a beautiful woman! Hope you’re feeling more spry again soon Bill.

Dear A.M. It is nice to hear from you, I had no idea you were Stephanie’s mom. You must be very proud of her. She told me it was you that actually lead her to my blog. Vi and I are both grateful for that as it ultimately lead to us being allowed to meet her.
You and your entire family have our very best wishes for the New Year.
    Thank you
    Bill

Hi Ron, having a blogfest would be great to be able to actually me some of my wonderful blog friends.
In the past I have to admit New Years Eve celebrations may have been a little on the wild side. This year it is more of a question, Can I stay awake until midnight? Going to my brother’s house for a fondue, so I know it will be great.
Happy New Year to you my friend.
    Bill
