Yesterday, I wrote of a tragic story, the beating of a toddler. He celebrated his second birthday in the intensive care unit of the hospital struggling for his life. He had been severely beaten suffering massive head trauma. I asked for prayers for the little guy and thank all that did so. After fighting the good fight yesterday, he passed from this world. I know he is in a much better place with our Heavenly Father, but it is still so sad.
I did not know this little man or anyone directly involved at the time but the whole story just breaks my heart. I can relate in that my own precious grand daughter is within days of her second birthday. I see how precious she is but also how small and defenseless she would be against an adult attacker. This poor little guy was in that position, totally defenseless. My heart bleeds for him.
Life is so precious, our children so defenseless, I just don’t understand. Again I ask for prayers please. Please include the foster family that loved and care for him until several months before this tragedy.
Dear Bill,
I’m not sure I have words right at this moment…none that would make anyone feel any better. However, love is an action word so what can we do to begin to make sure that this won’t happen again? Inevitably, it will happen again, but if we don’t try to change things then we are all guilty too. What can we do???
Praying for you, for all involved and for some do-able answers, Wiseman.
Irene
My thoughts are with him.
My little boy is two. What a very sad story…..
Wow.. praying. That is so hard.
I guess at least we can take some comfort in knowing that he is now at peace with God…
but what a tragedy 😥
children are so precious- life is a precious gift from God
take care of yourself
love Rachel xoxo
Oh Bill, I’m sorry, I know how much children, any children, all children, mean to you. Sometimes they’re taken young because they’re needed elsewhere. He’ll be back soon. Often children who leave contract short lives so that we can all learn from them. But they come back again and hopefully to less traumatic circumstances next time around.
Much love
S
These types of stories are so incredibly heartbreaking. I believe there must be a special place in heaven for those precious little souls. I find comfort in believing that he was immediately ushered to the other side where he was engulfed in complete peace and unending joy. I will pray for the family he left behind and for God in his grace to cover them with his healing spirit. Children are a blessing from the lord and although mine are now taller than me, I will make sure to hug them extra tight tonight.
oh my gosh…that is sad but you know what he is definitely in a better place. And im sure he’s thankful for you saying a prayer for him, because it did save him.
I don’t know that ‘understanding’ will happen for this one, Bill.
But I do know that he’s being well loved.
*HUGE hugs*
Too sad, I symphatize with his parents i know how hard they are being under go through. Loosing their angel, too early. but i hope and pray that time will come that they realized the purpose of God. Everything may happen for a reason. I will pray that they can easily move on, with this tragic experience.
